However, under the historical conditions at that time, food standards and food safety were rarely mentioned.  

From 1980 to 2000, we began to move towards the era of mechanization and automation

Due to the opening up of reform and opening up, foreign investment continues to pour in, and the number of food processing enterprises in the form of wholly foreign-owned and joint ventures has increased. These enterprises have introduced advanced food production technology and a large number of advanced food machinery into China.

Under this impetus, the country began its first large-scale technological transformation project, and the food industry began to move towards the era of mechanization and automation. This laid a key foundation for rapidly increasing the variety of food and expanding the scale of food production. However, China's food industry has experienced brief stagnation due to the impact of economic restructuring and the international financial crisis.  

Since 2000, we have been continuously connecting with the international food industry

Since 2000, China's food industry has continued to stride forward. In terms of consumption concept, due to the impact of incidents such as melamine milk powder, especially the external factors of the country's comprehensive strengthening of food safety supervision, the awareness of food safety has generally increased; In terms of technology, not only has the independent innovation capability and industrial support capability of food technology significantly improved, but the overall level of hardware facilities, process flow, and product quality control has also rapidly improved, significantly narrowing the gap with developed countries' food industry. As of the end of 2020, the main business revenue of food enterprises above designated size in China has exceeded 15 trillion yuan, forming a group of well-known brands, multinational corporations, and industrial clusters with strong international competitiveness.
